The standard retail price for Scopex, Spice, and Krill Specials is €8.99 per kg. However, for larger deals like 25, 50, or 100 kg, the price drops significantly, and you can get the boilies starting at just €6.75.
All our boilies can be ordered in 12mm, 15mm, 20mm and 24mm.
Generally, a fish will eat a smaller bait more quickly, but a small bait also has disadvantages such as sensitivity to whitefish and limited feeding opportunities at a distance. Here's how we look at the sizes:
12mm: Breaks through in heavily fished waters and is ideal for small carp ponds.
15mm: a good size for Dutch fishing if you don't have too many whitefish problems.
20mm: standard size that will always work for you.
24mm: Target large fish and eliminate whitefish. Ideal for fishing in large waters.
28mm: Fish very selectively for large carp, mainly suitable for large lakes and rivers.
You can order our boilies exclusively through our webshop. We ship throughout the Netherlands, Belgium, and the rest of Europe. If you'd like to place a large order, pickup is also an option. Please contact our customer service at webshop@kwo.nl.
We could offer a catch guarantee on these boilies, because we know how well they work in our own fishing. If you can find the fish, you're sure to get a bite with our boilies. However, we see many carp anglers busy using apps like Tinder, Facebook, and of course, KWO while fishing. That's definitely not how you'll catch those fish, so get off your bedchair and #keepsearching 😎
A boilie is a boiled dough ball used to catch carp. This is a very short description of a fishing bait that could fill books ;-). In the past, people used soft baits for carp. Think dough, bread, potatoes, and corn. The downside of this (especially on large or flowing waters) can be that you often end up fishing with an empty hook because smaller fish eat the bait off your hook.
In the 1990s, England found a solution. They briefly boiled the dough (2-3 minutes) to harden the outside. This created a protective layer that helped the bait stay on the hook/rig better. In the years that followed, boilies were further developed, and today they're a high-tech carp bait containing all sorts of flours and liquid ingredients. All with the goal of making the boilie as attractive as possible to carp.
That's why boilies are the most popular carp bait. You can catch carp well with them, don't have to worry about them being eaten off your hair, and they're great for feeding.
When you're putting together a boilie, there are a hundred different ways to do it. You can choose a boilie that's sweet or one with a more fishy smell and flavor. Just because you like the smell of a boilie doesn't necessarily mean carp will agree. Carp perceives a boilie in very different ways in the water.
For a carp, their attraction lies primarily in their perception of nucleotides, the building blocks of DNA in every organism and part of essential metabolic processes in living cells. Nucleotides, along with free amino acids, are the strongest natural attractants for carp.
Carp can also easily detect free amino acids underwater. These are substances secreted by crayfish, for example, allowing the carp to find and then eat them. So you want to have enough free amino acids in your boilie to attract the carp to your spot!
Products that contain both nucleotides and free amino acids are often fish products, such as fishmeal, fish extracts, and liquid fish products. This makes these products very popular with professional competition anglers and, of course, thousands of carp anglers. That's why we've chosen to include these naturally attractive and high-quality fish products in our KWO Specials.
Boilies come in hundreds of different sizes, flavors, and shapes. We always say you'll eventually catch a carp on any boilie, but there's a big difference in the quality of the boilies you can buy.
Our starting point for KWO Specials is that a boilie must initially have a high attraction. After all, you want to attract carp to your spot. Next, your boilies must taste good so they'll eat them. Finally, the boilie must contain enough nutrients to keep them wanting to eat it long-term.
If a boilie combines all these factors, you can catch fish effectively in both the short and long term. We believe in the natural appeal of boilies. So, for us, no chemical scents, but instead many natural ingredients that already contain many beneficial substances. Think, for example, of fishmeal such as krill meal, squid meal, green-lipped mussel, and PD fishmeal. These are relatively expensive ingredients to incorporate into a good boilie, but you'll see the difference in catches!
Almost all boilies you buy are "ready-made boilies." This means that these boilies have a long shelf life. These boilies are preserved, just like certain foods you buy in the supermarket. Once you've opened your bag of boilies, you can easily fish with them for a few months without any loss of quality.
In the past, people thought that preserved boilies were inferior, but this is now outdated... provided you use the right preservative! A commonly used one is MPG (MonoPropylene Glycol). This is a good preservative that even contains extra attraction for carp!
With ready-made boilies, you can fish for extended periods without them becoming moldy or less attractive. All KWO Specials are ready-made.
For years, it's been crystal clear to us: readymades perform just as well as freezers, provided the boilie's composition is correct. Our boilies are preserved with MPG (Monopropylene Glycol). This natural agent helps preserve the boilie and prevents mold growth. Besides acting as a natural preservative, it's also very energy-rich and provides readily available energy to the carp. This significantly increases the nutritional and energy value of the boilie.
In principle, you can use the boilies for months. However, you'll notice a difference in the boilies after leaving the bag open for a few weeks. They change to the human eye and smell, but not to carp. In our own fishing, we try to use the boilies within three months and reseal the bag tightly after use.
A boilie is a good bait for catching carp. You can catch carp with boilies year-round. It's impossible to say whether a boilie is the best carp bait at any given time. Just like people, carp sometimes crave different things. Moreover, one boilie sometimes catches better than another. There are many variables involved, but generally speaking, boilies are a good bait for selectively catching (larger) carp.
Other good carp baits include bread (don't underestimate this), canned corn, maggots, worms, tiger nuts, and other particles. Carp are omnivores, so you can probably catch them with anything!
KRILL BOILIES
Attractive, nutritious, flavorful, and packed with amino acids. This krill boilie is so naturally attractive that flavoring is unnecessary. In heavily fished waters, it can bring in just that extra fish... Meet the new Krill Special
SCOPEX BOILIES
The combination of three sweet flavors and a full, creamy taste proved to be a winner during testing. The coarse texture, achieved through the addition of kelp and ground hemp (and even a touch of PD fishmeal for added amino acids), makes this boilie unique and EXTREMELY instant.... Meet the new Scopex Special
SPICE BOILIES
Spicy and packed with attraction, so carp will keep eating! That's the perfect way to describe our 'Spice Specials' boilies. The secret is a unique blend of herbs that creates a distinctive flavor and aroma. Furthermore, the boilie is packed with attraction thanks to the addition of fishmeal, brocacell, tiger nut crunch, and a proprietary squid & octopus flavor.
Boosted Pellets
Boosted Pellets are the ultimate way to catch hard-hitting carp. The 4, 6, and 8mm fishmeal and krill pellets are enriched with extra oil and a mix of squid and krill powder. Combined with the 12mm Pellet Wafter, you have a presentation carp can't resist!
PARTICLE MIX
We've blended crushed Scopex or Spice Specials with ground tiger nuts, buckwheat, and wheat, and added a delicious flavor. The result is a mega-attractive mix that instantly gets carp feeding! Perfect for instant fishing or during the colder months.
